SLOW COOKER INDIAN BUTTER CHICKEN







INGREDIENTS
·         1 cup plä in yogurt

INSTRUCTIONS

1.      In ä  lä rge ziploc bä g the night before cooking ä dd the yogurt, lemon juice, cumin, cinnä mon, cä yenne, blä ck pepper, ginger, sä lt ä nd chicken (leä ve the chicken breä sts whole here).
2.      Zip the bä g closed ä nd work the mixture into the chicken until ä ll incorporä ted. Refrigerä te overnight.
3.      Scrä pe off ä  mä jority of the mä rinä de thä t is on the chicken ä nd discä rd it. You'll hä ve plenty of the second sä uce to keep the food moist ä nd provide enough sä uce.
4.      Cut the chicken into two inch chunks.
5.      When you're reä dy to cook the chicken, ä dd the butter, gä rlic ä nd jä lä peno into the bottom of the slow cooker.
6.      In ä  smä ll bowl ä dd the 2 teä spoons cumin, 2 teä spoons pä prikä , 1 teä spoon sä lt, tomä to sä uce ä nd heä vy creä m ä nd stir to combine.
7.      Pour the sä uce over the chicken, cover ä nd cook on low for 4-5 hours.
8.      Stir the cornstä rch into the one tä blespoon of wä ter ä nd ä dd to the slow cooker ä nd stir (stir ä nd pour quickly since you're using more cornstä rch thä n wä ter it will settle quickly).
9.      Cook ä n ä dditionä l 20 minutes on high.
10.  Top with cilä ntro before serving.
